Impressive first trailer for the reboot/relaunch/remake/whatever of this action franchise that I believe will be another trilogy. The year is 2029. John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when Tech-Com spies reveal a new plot by Skynet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever. On the verge of winning the war against Skynet, Connor sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back through time to save his mother's (Emilia Clarke) life and ensure his own existence. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee and J.K. Simmons are also part of the cast. Directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World).
I was never into this franchise and its various incarnations, so don't ask me what's going on here and how everything fits together.

Full trailer for the big screen debut of Shaun the Sheep. When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it's up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
Looks delightful.

Trailer from France for this action movie about a Las Vegas bodyguard (Jason Statham) with lethal professional skills and a personal gambling problem. When a friend (Dominik García-Lorido) is beaten by a sadistic thug (Milo Ventimiglia), he strikes back, only to find out the thug is the son of a powerful mob boss. Suddenly he is plunged into the criminal underworld, chased by enforcers and wanted by the mob. Michael Angarano, Hope Davis, Stanley Tucci, Sofía Vergara, Anne Heche and Jason Alexander are also part of the cast. Directed by Simon West (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Con Air, The Expendables 2). Screenplay by William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All the President's Men, The Princess Bride) based on his own novel.
This is a remake of a 1986 movie that starred Burt Reynolds. I suspect reading the list of supporting actors (who probably mainly have cameos) and the screenwriter may set expectations too high. But it may increase the chances that this will be one of the better Statham solo movies in recent years.

Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion". Voices will be provided by Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph, Sam Palladio and Alfred Molina.
The big selling point here is that it's produced and based on a story by George Lucas and he hence gets prominently mentioned in the trailer. I guess only few remember him, but he made some pretty interesting stuff 30, 40 years ago. But that doesn't keep this movie from being unceremoniously dumped in January. And it's hard to argue with the studio here. I guess it was a pill Disney had to swallow when they bought Lucasfilm in 2012.
