First trailer for the sequel, this time directed by James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted). Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) has spent the past few years following in her father’s footsteps and sailing the high seas. Upon her return to London, she comes across a magical looking glass and returns to the fantastical realm of Underland and her friends the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen), Absolem (Alan Rickman), the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry) and the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), who is not himself. The Hatter has lost his Muchness, so Mirana (Anne Hathaway) sends Alice on a quest to borrow the Chronosphere, a metallic globe inside the chamber of the Grand Clock which powers all time. Returning to the past, she comes across friends – and enemies – at different points in their lives, and embarks on a perilous race to save the Hatter before time runs out. Helena Bonham Carter and Matt Lucas also return, new to the cast are Sacha Baron Cohen, Rhys Ifans, Andrew Scott, Toby Jones and Timothy Spall.
Sorry to say, still not a fan of the artificial, computer-generated look.

His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the western world. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart), his formidable secret service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Radha Mitchell, Jackie Earle Haley and Robert Forster are also part of the cast.
I'm sure the proposed legislation to now turn the UK officially into a complete surveillance state will prevent anything like this to ever happen in real life.

Second trailer for the latest movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill, Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds). It is again a western, this time set after the end of the Civil War. A stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. Bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) race towards the town of Red Rock, where Ruth will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), a former Union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a renegade who claims to be the town's new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard they seek refuge at Minnie's Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover. When they arrive, they are greeted by four unfamiliar faces: Bob (Demian Bichir), who takes care of Minnie's in the owner's absence; Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth), the hangman of Red Rock; cow-puncher Joe Gage (Michael Madsen); and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all.
Spend the holidays with someone you hate is not a bad tag line.

Don Verdean (Sam Rockwell) is a man of faith who has devoted his life to biblical archaeology, scouring the globe in search of artifacts that back up the teachings of Jesus Christ. Now, traveling from town to town, he and his devoted assistant (Amy Ryan), spread the gospel by peddling books and DVDs out of his shabby RV, while his Holy Land contact Boaz (Jemaine Clement) does the digging from afar. When an evangelical preacher (Danny McBride) offers to bankroll his modest roadside operation, the escalating pressure to find increasingly significant relics leads Don and his team down a less-than-righteous path. Leslie Bibb and Will Forte are also part of the cast.
Looks amusing, though I can't say I so far found Hess' movies too funny. But it may be of some interest for US presidential hopeful Ben Carson.

All the major voices return, Kate Hudson and J.K. Simmons are added to the voice cast.
