Maggie's Plan HD720p 31MB
Comedic drama in which academic advisor Maggie (Greta Gerwig) is determined to have a baby, but she can't seem to make any relationship last long enough to reach the precipice of familial bliss. Opting to fulfill her maternal dreams alone, she secures a sperm donation from a Brooklyn pickle entrepreneur (Travis Fimmel). But before this process is complete, a budding romance springs up with John (Ethan Hawke), a new adjunct professor, hailed as "the bad boy of fictocritical anthropology" she meets at work. Mired in an unhappy marriage-with-children to domineering Danish critical theorist Georgette Norgaard (Julianne Moore), he leaps at the chance to end things with his eccentric and domineering wife. Bill Hader and Maya Rudolph are also part of the cast. Directed by Rebecca Miller (The Private Lives of Pippa Lee).
Very well received at festivals. But I so far find the summary more amusing than the trailer.
The Light Between Oceans HD720p 18MB
UK trailer for the latest melodrama directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines). On a remote Australian island in the years following World War I, a lighthouse keeper (Michael Fassbender) and his wife (Alicia Vikander), discover a boat washed ashore carrying a dead man and a two-month old baby. Rescuing the infant, they make the decision to raise her as their own but the consequences of their choice prove to be devastating. Rachel Weisz is also part of the cast.
The Man Who Knew Infinity HD720p 20MB
Inspirational biopic tells the story of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the Indian mathematician whose contributions to number theory, continued fractions, and infinite series revolutionised the field. Opening near the dawn of the twentieth century, the film follows Ramanujan (Dev Patel) from his humble roots in Madras — where opportunities for someone of his abilities are few — to Cambridge University, where the young prodigy's visionary theories attract the attention of English mathematician G.H. Hardy (Jeremy Irons). The chance to work in the same hallowed halls where Isaac Newton formulated the laws of motion and universal gravitation is a dream come true for him, but also proves to be a sort of nightmare. His colleagues, unable to see beyond his dark skin and unfamiliar culture, harass and humiliate him, while Hardy insists that Ramanujan deliver countless proofs before being allowed to publish his work. Toby Jones, Jeremy Northam and Stephen Fry are also part of the cast.
Not that the outcome was ever in any doubt, but it is one of those trailers that I think show you the whole story.
Hardcore Henry HD720p 48MB
Action movie filmed in the form of a first person shooter video game. You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name's Akan (Danila Kozlovsky); he’s a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries and a plan for world domination. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley). He may be on your side, but you aren't sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Tim Roth also makes an appearance.
Kind of an endurance test to see if one can watch a whole movie like that without getting nauseous.
The Angry Birds Movie US HD720p 49MB Intl HD720p 46MB
Two more trailers for this animated comedy which will probably ensure that you will be familiar with most, if not all, of the funny scenes of the mvoie. The film takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to. Further voices will be provided by Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage and Keegan-Michael Key.
I still have to say that, despite being based on a smartphone game app, it doesn't look any worse than your average Dreamworks Animation movie.
