Ben-Hur HD720p 48MB
Full trailer for another take on Lew Wallace's novel, the epic story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston), a prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby Kebbell), an officer in the Roman army. Stripped of his title, separated from his family and the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Judah is forced into slavery. After years at sea, he returns to his homeland to seek revenge, but finds redemption. Morgan Freeman, Pilou Asbæk, Rodrigo Santoro and Ayelet Zurer are also part of the cast. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, so you know where the emphasis of the movie will be.
Call it a hunch. But I have a feeling this one won't have a similar lasting effect as the two previous movies.
Now You See Me 2 HD720p 44MB
Full trailer for the sequel in which The Four Horsemen [Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan] return for a second mind-bending adventure. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public's adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe), a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman also return. New to the cast are Jay Chou and Sanaa Lathan. Directed by Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, Jem and the Holograms).
What bugs me is when all those alleged magic tricks get overwhelmed by flashy CGI. Also, an earlier teaser: HD720p 22MB.
The Lobster HD720p 27MB
US trailer for the latest amusing, absurdist movie from Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (Dogtooth, Alps). It's an unconventional love story set in the very near future, where society demands that we live as couples. Single people are rounded up and sent to a seaside compound - part resort and part minimum-security prison - where they are given a finite number of days to find a match. If they don’t succeed, they will be “altered” and turned into animals. The recently divorced David (Colin Farrell) arrives at The Hotel with his brother, now a dog; in the event of failure, he has chosen to become a lobster because they live so long. When David falls in love, he's up against a new set of rules established by another, rebellious order: for romantics, there's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Rachel Weisz, Olivia Colman, John C. Reilly, Ben Whishaw, Léa Seydoux, Ariane Labed and Ashley Jensen are also part of the cast.
Love this satire about society's pressure of getting married and have kids.
Central Intelligence HD720p 122MB
Second trailer for this action buddy comedy that follows a one-time bullied geek who grew up to be a lethal CIA agent (Dwayne Johnson), coming home for his high school reunion. Claiming to be on a top-secret case, he enlists the help of the former "big man on campus" (Kevin Hart), now an accountant who misses his glory days. But before the staid numbers-cruncher realises what he's getting into, it's too late to get out, as his increasingly unpredictable new friend drags him through a world of shoot-outs, double-crosses and espionage that could get them both killed in more ways than he can count. Amy Ryan, Aaron Paul and Danielle Nicolet are also part of the cast. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (We're the Millers, Dodgeball, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh).
Johnson is pretty funny.
Too Late HD720p 17MB
Noir thriller drama in which a private investigator (John Hawkes) is tasked with tracking down a missing woman in Los Angeles from his own past, crossing paths with eccentric personalities and lost souls while he works the case. Though he is looking for a lost woman, he's also trying to find himself. Dichen Lachman, Joanna Cassidy, Jeff Fahey, Robert Forster, Vail Bloom and Crystal Reed are also part of the cast.
The plot is fairly standard for the genre, and the movie apparently isn't entirely successful. But the additional appeal is that it is shot on 35mm film in five long scenes, each take about 20 minutes long.
