The Founder     HD720p 102MB
Drama that tells the true story of how Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), a salesman from Illinois, met Mac and Dick McDonald (Nick Offerman, John Caroll Lynch), who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California. Kroc was impressed by the brothers' speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. He maneuvered himself into a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire. Laura Dern, B.J. Novak and Linda Cardellini are also part of the cast. Directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, The Alamo, Saving Mr. Banks).
I didn't know Kroc was such a ... crook. I thought his main offence was making whole nations obese.

The Infiltrator     HD720p 39MB
Thriller based on a true story in which a federal agent (Bryan Cranston) goes deep undercover to infiltrate Pablo Escobar's drug trafficking scene plaguing the nation in 1986 by posing as slick, money-laundering businessman. Teamed with a impulsive and streetwise fellow agent (John Leguizamo) and a rookie agent posing as his fiancé (Diane Kruger), he befriends Escobar's top lieutenant (Benjamin Bratt). Navigating a vicious criminal network in which the slightest slip-up could cost him his life, he risks it all building a case that leads to indictments of 85 drug lords and the corrupt bankers who cleaned their dirty money. Elena Anaya, Amy Ryan, Said Taghmaoui and Jason Isaacs are also part of the cast. Directed by Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer, Runner Runner).

Cafe Society     HD720p 29MB
Trailer from France for the latest romantic, comedic drama written and directed by Woody Allen (Midnight in Paris, Magic in the Moonlight, Irrational Man). A young man (Jesse Eisenberg) arrives in Hollywood during the 1930s hoping to work in the film industry. There, he falls in love, and finds himself swept up in the vibrant café society that defined the spirit of the age. Kristen Stewart, Steve Carell, Corey Stoll, Blake Lively, Parker Posey and Ken Stott are also part of the cast.
Looks more stylish than usual. While being shown out of competition, it will be the opening film next month in Cannes.

Independence Day: Resurgence     HD720p 106MB   HD1080p 181MB
Second trailer for the first sequel to the blockbuster from 1996 which the studio intends to develop into a full franchise. It promises to deliver "global spectacle on an unimaginable scale". We always knew they were coming back. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.
Will Smith's financial demands were apparently too steep, but many of the original cast members had enough spare time to return. Among them, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch and Vivica A. Fox. New to the cast are Liam Hemsworth and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Again directed by Roland Emmerich (White House Down, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow).
The dialogue is toe-curlingly bad. Maybe they should consider offering screenings without dialogue.

De Palma     HD720p 15MB
Lively, illuminating and unexpectedly moving documentary, by directors Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow who engage in a personal and candid discussion with Brian De Palma (The Untouchables, Dressed to Kill, Scarface) - based on a week-long interview - , exploring not only his life and work but also his singular approach to the craft of filmmaking and his remarkable experiences navigating the film business, from his early days as the bad boy of New Hollywood to his more recent years as a respected veteran of the field.
That should be very interesting.
