Hunt for the Wilderpeople HD720p 27MB
Another very funny looking movie from New Zealand directed by Taika Waititi (Boy, What We Do in the Shadows, Eagle vs Shark). Raised on hip-hop and foster care, defiant city kid Ricky gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countryside. He quickly finds himself at home with his new foster family: the loving Aunt Bella, the cantankerous Uncle Hec (Sam Neill), and dog Tupac. When a tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush. As a national manhunt ensues, the newly branded outlaws must face their options: go out in a blaze of glory or overcome their differences and survive as a family.
Southside with You HD720p 51MB
Romantic walk-and-talk drama loosely based on the life of Michelle Robinson and Barack Obama. One Chicago afternoon in 1989, a Harvard Law summer associate (Parker Sawyers) finagled a tête-à-tête with an attorney (Tika Sumpter) from the prestigious corporate law firm where they both worked. His pretense was a friendly outing to a community organizer meeting. In her eyes, it was most certainly not a date. But as ice cream gives way to a stop at the Art Institute, and the community gathering conveniently becomes a chance for him to lecture brilliantly on activism, it's obvious to her that this cigarette-smoking smooth talker is desperately trying to woo her.
I am/was somewhat sceptical if it's a good idea to associate the story with such a prominent couple. But festival reviews are much better than I would've expected.
Bad Moms HD720p 36MB
Redband trailer for this comedy in which Amy (Mila Kunis) has a seemingly perfect life - a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career. However she's over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she's about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms (Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn) on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities – going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence – putting them on a collision course with the PTA Queen (Christina Applegate) and her clique of devoted perfect moms. Written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore who wrote The Hangover and directed 21 & Over.
It's nice that there are more women-centric comedies. But this looks even less funny than the usual dude-bro comedy. But maybe I just have the wrong gender.
Cell HD720p 52MB
Sci-fi horror thriller based on a novel by Stephen King. At the Boston airport, Clay (John Cusack) witnesses a scene of chaotic mayhem when an electronic signal turns hundreds of cell phone users into rabid killers. Desperate to find his estranged wife and son, he teams with a train driver (Samuel L. Jackson) to battle the horde of murderous “phoners” as the city descends into apocalyptic madness. Isabelle Fuhrman and Stacy Keach are also part of the cast. Directed by Tod Williams (<i>Paranormal Activity 2</i>, <i>The Door in the Floor</i>).
For the King/Cusack/Jackson completionists.
Me Before You HD720p 138MB
Second extended trailer for this romantic drama about a young woman (Emilia Clarke) who lives in the English countryside. With no clear direction in her life, the quirky and creative 26-year-old goes from one job to the next in order to help her tight-knit family make ends meet. Her normally cheery outlook is put to the test, however, when she faces her newest career challenge: a job as caregiver and companion to a wealthy young banker (Sam Claflin) who became wheelchair bound in an accident, and whose whole world changed dramatically in the blink of an eye. Janet McTeer, Charles Dance, Jenna Coleman, Matthew Lewis and Vanessa Kirby are also part of the cast.
