After the Comic-Con footage from last year, the first trailer for DC Comics' desperate attempt to catch-up with Marvel's Avengers, directed by Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, 300, Sucker Punch). Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), to face an even greater enemy. Together, the two work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) - it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

I suspect the inevitable extended cut will be four hours of non-stop special effects.

Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures roamed the earth, the film tells the story of courageous caveman hero Dug (Eddie Redmayne) and his best friend Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth (Tom Hiddleston) and his Bronze Age City to save their home. Further voices will be provided by Maisie Williams, Richard Ayoade and Timothy Spall.

From a marketing point-of-view, pairing Johnson with Efron is pretty genius.
