Always fascinating how very effective (almost) music-only trailers can be.

Three more teasers for Alfonso Cuarón's (Children of Men, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Y tu mamá también) highly anticipated new movie. Or maybe better three 90-second clips that don't reveal much more than the previous teaser but that are all highly dramatic. It's a sci-fi thriller about a brilliant medical engineer (Sandra Bullock) on her first shuttle mission together with a veteran astronaut (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving the two completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth and any chance for rescue.
Movie will open the Venice Film Festival (out of competition) at the end of August. The full festival line-up.

Theatrical trailer for the latest adaptation of William Shakespeare's play with a screenplay written by Julian Fellowes, creator of "Downton Abbey". I guess the story is more than well known, so here's a cast list with the characters they play. Hailee Steinfeld plays the bright, young Juliet, Douglas Booth her star-crossed lover, Romeo. The House of Capulet is rounded out with Damian Lewis and Natascha McElhone as Lord and Lady Capulet, Lesley Manville as the Nurse and Ed Westwick as Tybalt. The rival Montagues are played by Tomas Arana and Laura Morante as Lord and Lady Montague and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Benvolio. Paul Giamatti and Stellan Skarsgård round up the cast.

Teaser for the 3D computer animated movie follows Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant (Will Ferrell), a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared. Further voices are provided by Elizabeth Banks (tough-as-nails Lucy), Will Arnett (the mysterious Batman), Nick Offerman (a pirate), Liam Neeson (a powerful henchman known as Bad Cop) and Morgan Freeman (an old mystic). Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs).
Ignoring for a moment that this is another nausea inducing Hollywood attempt to use an established toy line to sell a movie, it so far doesn't look entirely bad.

4 1/2 minute redband trailer for the sequel of the comic book adaptation with the benefit that it probably reveals so much that watching it saves you the trip to the theatre.
After Kick-Ass' (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) - reborn as The Mother F%&*^r - only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation. Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo and Donald Faison are also part of the cast. Director Matthew Vaughn does not return.
