The Lost King HD1080p 34MB
Drama that tells the story of how in 2012, having been lost for over 500 years, the remains of King Richard III were discovered beneath a carpark in Leicester. The search had been orchestrated by an amateur historian, Philippa Langley (Sally Hawkins), whose unrelenting research had been met with incomprehension by her friends and family and with scepticism by experts and academics. Steve Coogan and Harry Lloyd are also part of the cast. Directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen, Florence Foster Jenkins, Philomena).
Looks nice. But it's one of those trailers were you get the feeling that you already have seen a summary version of the whole movie.
Call Jane HD1080p 32MB
Timely, historical drama set in Chicago, 1968. As the city and the nation are poised on the brink of political upheaval, suburban housewife Joy (Elizabeth Banks) leads an ordinary life with her husband (Chris Messina) and daughter. When her pregnancy leads to a life-threatening heart condition, she must navigate an all-male medical establishment unwilling to terminate her pregnancy in order to save her life. Her journey for a solution leads her to Virginia (Sigourney Weaver), an independent visionary fiercely committed to women’s health, and Gwen (Wunmi Mosaku), an activist who dreams of a day when all women will have access to abortion, regardless of their ability to pay.
There's also recently been a very well received documentary about the Jane Collective that may be available on HBO.
Emily HD1080p 17MB
Historical drama that tells the imagined life of one of the world’s most famous authors, Emily Brontë (Emma Mackey). It explores the relationships that inspired her – her raw, passionate sisterhood with Charlotte and Anne; her first aching, forbidden love for Weightman (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) and her care for her maverick brother (Fionn Whitehead) whom she idolises. Marks the directing and writing debut of Frances O'Connor.
Confess, Fletch HD720p 29MB
Comedy romp about roguishly charming and endlessly troublesome Fletch (Jon Hamm), who becomes the prime suspect in a murder case while searching for a stolen art collection. The only way to prove his innocence? Find out which of the long list of suspects is the culprit - from the eccentric art dealer and a missing playboy to a crazy neighbor and Fletch’s Italian girlfriend. Crime, in fact, has never been this disorganized. Marcia Gay Harden, Kyle MacLachlan, John Slattery and Roy Wood Jr. are also part of the cast. Directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland, Paul).
I don't think I've ever seen one of the Chevy Chase Fletch movies. After a theatrical run will start streaming on Showtime starting October 28th.
Tár Tsr1 HD720p 71MB Tsr2 HD1080p 15MB
Two very different, short trailers/teasers for the first movie written and directed by Todd Field (In the Bedroom, Little Children) in fifteen years. Set in the international world of classical music, the film centers on Lydia Tár (Cate Blanchett), widely considered one of the greatest living composer/conductors and first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra. Nina Hoss and Noémie Merlant are also part of the cast.
Looks very interesting. But very hard to categorise based on the available footage. Will take part in the official competition next week in Venice.
